Nippon Budokan guide

The legendary octagonal hall beside the Imperial Palace moat. Playing Budokan is a rite of passage for Japanese bands — small enough that every seat feels close.

Lockers & luggage

  • The Budokan has no coin lockers. Kudanshita station has a few; Iidabashi and Tokyo Station are better on show days.
  • Kudanshita Exit 2 is the usual way in — Exit 4 is the quieter alternative when it's crowded.

Show-day rules

  • E-tickets are often name-registered — carry your passport in case the organizer checks ID at the gate.
  • Photo and video rules are set per show: assume they are banned unless the artist announces a photo-OK moment.
  • Re-entry is decided per show — check the ticket page or staff before you step outside.
  • No trading goods or hanging around outside the hall — the venue asks fans to move on.
